Straps workshop with Oskar Mauricio, 9h/3days.
This workshop is based on the exploration and understanding of the movement in the air, providing body awareness in suspension.
Expressing through instincts and impulses, we will liberate ourselves from tensions or habits that are preventing us from finding our natural way of moving in the air.
A global language, infinite and not completely definable...
These ideas will be applied to some basic principles of aerial work such as suspension, total elevation, extension, inversion, stretching, and rotation. We will give emphasize technically on the dynamic movements, tempos, and transitions in one arm, finding some flexible positions suitable for everyone, roll-ups, and two arms support work.
The aim is to find the most natural way of moving in the air and to inspire aerial artists to integrate this new awareness into their own artistic approach.
Workshop level
***SUITABLE FOR ALL AERIALISTS (Silks, Rope, Trapeze, etc ...). YOU SHOULD HAVE A STRONG INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED LEVEL IN YOUR DISCIPLINE.***
(Example: Inversion/Straddle up on two arms (straight arms, straight legs), meat-hooks, etc. should be easy for you, please write to Vanessa if you have questions).
